When I am doing this, I can barely feel the workout. I think it works, though. They say that an hour in the hula hoop is equivalent to 500 crunches. It’s so much fun, so I don’t even count this as part of my workout but more of an in-between thing during sets. I used two hula hoops for my daily activities: the weighted hula ring, and the ordinary hula hoop that we buy in toy stores. My favorite spot is a terrace overlooking the urban skyline, except that it’s too windy on some days to do more circles on my waist. This is also how I discovered regularly incorporating fitness activities in the form of fun or play. Workout has just taken a new definition for me, at least. 🙂
